CAPE COD EN FAMILIA - Family gathering at Cape Cod

El desafío # 58 de CSI proponía armar nuestra página en base a los siguientes colores y usando como inspiración el bosquejo que se ve en la imagen

CSI's challenge # 58 suggested using the colours and the page draft seen in the image below .

Esta fue mi interpretación:

Para resolver el fondo utilicé técnicas variadas. Manché la hoja con café y la salpiqué con un cepillo de dientes mojado con acrílico turquesa. Utilicé un stencil con modelling para crear la banda inferior que marcaba el bosquejo y también el canto de una regla metálica, mojada en acrílico marrón, para hacer las rayas

To solve the background I used multiple techniques. I stained the page with coffee and splattered on turquoise acrylic with a toothbrush. I used a stencil and modelling paste to create the horizontal band at the bottom of the sketch and also the border of a ruler dipped in dark brown acrylic for the horizontal stripes

Dos de los elementos que se sugería utilizar eran ojalillos y cordones. Yo los apliqué de esta forma:

The challenge suggested we use eyelets and lacing. This is how I solved that part

Y este es un grupo de adornos que incluyen el "algo metálico"propuesto

This is a group of embellies including the "something metallic"

 Elegí escribir el texto sobre varias tiritas de papel:

I chose to do my journalling on multiple strips of paper

Para que me entraran todas las fotos que quería poner, a algunas las recorté como se ve con la canoa y con el cochecito de bebe. Lo hice para no perder "lo importante"de la imágen. Lo superpuse sobre una parte no importante de la foto contigua

So that I could fit all the photographs I wanted on the page, I cut some out (like the canoe and the pram) so as not to lose the important part of the picture. I then  overlapped over an unimportant part of the photo next to it
